About Us

Built by NIC for the nation’s hospitals

Under the Digital India initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, the National Informatics Centre (NIC) has developed the NextGen eHospital and ORS (Online Registration System) applications.

The ORS portal was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India on 1st July 2015. It links hospitals across the country for booking online appointments and provides patient-centric services such as viewing lab reports, checking blood availability status, and making online payments.

Vision

NIC developed the NextGen eHospital project with the vision of improving the delivery of healthcare services to citizens across the country.
